Nothing on this site is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for consulting a qualified professional about your own circumstances. A procedure entry describes a procedure in general. It cannot know your history, your anatomy, your medications, or your risk.

Use Verity to arrive at a consultation with better questions. Do not use it to replace one. Do not use it to time a surgery, to interpret a lab result, or to decide that a complication is “normal”.

No doctor–patient relationship

Reading this site does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Verity, with a writer, or with a practitioner who appears on it. Joining the waitlist does not create one. Messaging a practitioner, when that exists, does not create one until you and that practitioner have an actual clinical relationship under their own professional rules — which is not something Verity provides.

Verity does not deliver care

We are not a medical provider. We do not examine you, operate on you, prescribe, or follow you up. Care is provided by the professional you choose, under their own licence and their own responsibility. We do not supervise that care.

Verification is a fact about paperwork, not about your outcome

When we verify a practitioner we are confirming their credentials against a public register on a given date. We are not vouching for their judgment, their results, their bedside manner, or what will happen if you are treated by them.

A badge can lapse. If a licence lapses, the badge goes, and every reply that practitioner has written stops carrying it. That is the point of showing it. A mark that cannot lapse is not worth showing.

A clinic’s verification is its own. A clinician linked to a clinic does not borrow the clinic’s badge. A lapsed licence shows on the person it belongs to — not averaged into the organisation, and not hidden behind it.

A community reply is not a consultation

Inside a community, patients open the conversation and professionals reply. A verified professional answering a question in the open is not your surgeon. A thread is not a consultation. It is not tailored to you, it is not private in the way a clinic appointment is, and it is not a substitute for being seen.

If something is getting worse rather than better after a procedure, contact the person who operated on you — today — or emergency services where you are. Do not wait for a reply in a community.

Images, recovery, prices and “typical” results

Photographs, diagrams, recovery timelines and price ranges are general. They are not a promise of your result, your downtime, or your invoice. Two people having the “same” procedure can heal differently, pay differently, and look different six months later.

A price range is published so you can see an order of magnitude before anyone asks you for a deposit. It is not a quote. The number that applies to you is the one a practitioner gives you for your case.

Booking is time with the doctor, not payment for a procedure

Where booking exists on Verity, it is a call or a consultation arranged from a profile, if the practitioner has it turned on. It is not payment for an operation. Procedure payment does not pass through Verity. Whatever you pay, you pay them.

Booking is a switch the practitioner controls. A profile can stand on its own with booking off.

Travel and treatment away from home

Some patients travel to be treated. Verity does not book flights, hotels, visas, or aftercare beds. We are not a medical-tourism agency and we are not a party to what you arrange with a practitioner in another city or another country.

Listings open with practitioners in the United States and Canada first. You can still research by country. A practitioner is checked against the national register where they practise. That is not the same as saying clinics abroad are already on Verity, and it is not a recommendation to travel.

Emergencies and urgent problems

Verity is not an emergency service. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call the emergency number where you are. If you have recently had a procedure and you are worried about bleeding, infection, breathing, chest pain, or anything that feels suddenly worse, contact the team that treated you or emergency care — not this website.

Children and people who cannot consent

This site is intended for adults making, or helping an adult make, a decision about aesthetic medicine. It is not written as guidance for operating on a minor, and it is not a substitute for the consent rules that apply where you are.

Your own reliance

You are responsible for the decisions you take, including the decision to have a procedure, to delay one, to travel, or to choose a particular practitioner. Verity’s information can be incomplete, can go out of date, and can be wrong. That is why every page should carry a way to tell us it is wrong, and why a consultation with a qualified professional about your own circumstances is not optional.
